Oh hey, not a big deal, but the hubble took a picture of a star that’s nearing supernova status.

The star is called Eta Carinae, and it is about 7,500-8,000 light years away. That means that the light from this star takes 7,500-8,000 years to reach us, so the star may have already undergone supernova and may not even exist anymore, we just don’t know about it yet. Just think about that. That’s crazy.
